A publishing house with a critical view of reality

Capital Intelectual is a publishing house with an extensive track record, focused on making a contribution to national and regional debate. Its catalog includes publications with a diversity of perspectives on various themes, including science, politics, literature, philosophy, sports, psychology and scientific outreach.

Its titles are exported to over 15 countries and since 2011 they have been published in Spain, under the seal Clave Intelectual, including admired writers such as Aldo Ferrer, Manuela Carmena, Dante Caputo, Juan Carlos Distéfano, Jorge Fernandez Díaz, Leonardo Padura, Rodolfo Braceli, Alejandro Fabbri, Vicente Muleiro, Sergio Sinay and Mempo Giardinelli, among others. 

Its Young Readers’ Collection Aerolitos presents meticulously selected titles especially recommended for toddlers and children, with illustrations by renowned artists. Le Monde Diplomatique

Capital Intelectual publishes the South Cone edition of the prestigious French magazine Le Monde Diplomatique, directed by José Natanson, and including articles from international issues as well as locally produced articles. Gabriel García Márquez, Noam Chomsky and José Saramago are some of the acclaimed authors that have written opinion columns for this publication. With over 12 years of continued presence, it is one of the most influential monthlies in the region. Its readership includes social experts and key opinion leaders, and its format and contents are exported to Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela.

It publishes Los libros del dipló, a collection signed by prominent international analysts, dealing with work-related, energy, environmental, women and youth issues.

Its series El Explorador includes five bimonthlies with a thorough approach to the political, economic and cultural reality of a country, with in-depth articles, maps, graphs and statistics, all with Le Monde’s quality. Review. Revista de Libros

In 2015, Capital Intelectual launched Review, Revista de Libros, a bimonthly focusing on culture, literature and politics, and offering a selection of the best texts published in the prestigious The New Yorker Review of Books, as well as articles by leading Argentine and Latin American writers, academics and journalists. It is directed by José Natanson and has an Advisory Board including Ricardo Piglia and Juan Gabriel Tokatlian.

Review publishes in-depth articles, editorial reviews and essays anticipating key cultural trends, examining book releases and fueling major political debates. Renowned intellectuals have been published, including Paul Krugman, Amartya Sen, Ricardo Piglia, Leonardo Padura, John Banville, Stephen King, Joyce Carol Oates, Martin Scorsese and Daniel Barenboim, to name but a few.
